NARROW LOSS FOR MAN-FOX.

Winning the toss Captain Kane Duffy decided to bat on a damp Weraroa Domain pitch. After the loss of Jason Houldsworth (2) and Kane Duffy (4), Josh Parsons 24 and Karl Read (9) put together the highest partnership of the innings (25) before both departing. David Schlup (20) with the help of the middle order managed to get Manawatu-Foxton through to 100 all out in the 42nd over.

Weraroa lost their first wicket at 45, then wickets fell steadily and at 85 for 9 Man-Fox looked set for victory but the last wicket partnership for Weraroa managed to scrap through for victory. Bowling for Manawatu-Foxton Karl Read claimed 3-27 off his 10 overs, Kane Duffy 2-20 off 10 and David Schlup 2-8 off 10 and Steven Mattock 1-21 of his 10 overs were the wicket-takers.
