Presidents win.

           Manawatu-Foxton lost the toss against Waikanae Red at Waikanae Park No. 1 grass pitch and were put in the field. Waikanae batted through their 45 overs to be 194 for 5 at the innings close. Wayne Blackbourn, Jono Van Echten, Steven Thomas, Tom Thomas and Perry Thomas all claiming one wicket each.

           Manawatu-Foxton openers Stacey Thomas and Haydon Bramwell batted through to the 33rd over before Bramwell was stumped for 92 with the total at 157. After Stacey Thomas was dismissed for 58 in the 35th over with the score at 168, Steven Thomas (6) and Jason Easton (1) departed quickly and it was left to Marty O'Brien and Jason Gwynn to see the side through to victory, with Jason Gwynn hiiting a six to finish the match.

           A win to Manawatu-Foxton by 6 wickets.
