News from the Secretary:-

A few changes at the Annual General Meeting:-

Mahes Naran (Life Member and Vice-President) stood down from the Chairman's position to concentrate on the Junior schoolboy coaching role.

David Schlup has stepped into the job for this season, Steven Thomas has accepted the Club Captains job and Scotty Rogers was re-elected to Senior Captain. The committee has still to appoint a Captain for the 2 nd grade side.

The committee elected for this season is:-

Geoff Oates, Steven Mattock, Tyler Graham, Josh Parsons, Tim Sayer and Perry Thomas.

First net practice will be held at the Manawatu College nets on Sunday, 6th

September, 2009 at 1.00 p.m. followed by a short working bee at the

Groundsmans shed and then a committee meeting at the Shed.

The club have nominated a Senior A team and a 2 nd Grade team for this season.

Having these two teams will make it easier for players to alternate between the teams without having to worry about a regrade. The standard of cricket between the Presidents grade and the 2 nd grade are about the same.

The competitions commence on Saturday, 10th October, 2009 for all grades.
