Steve Mattock won the toss and asked Paraparaumu to bat first on the Manawatu College

                No. 1 grass pitch. Paraparaumu lost wickets regularly and were dismissed after 43.3

                overs for 173 runs. Four Man.-Fox. bowlers claimed 2 wickets each, Tim Sayer 2-12 off

                9 overs, Steve Thomas 2-11 off 8.3, Perry Thomas 2-55 off 9, Craig Garard 2-26 off 6

                and Steve Mattock 1-21 off 4 overs. The other wicket to fall was a run out.

     Manawatu-Foxton lost the wickets of Steve Mattock (7) at 13, Steve Thomas (6) at 34, Perry

                Thomas (12) at 44, then a partnership of 95 runs between Karl Read and Tyler Graham

                advanced the score to 139 before Graham (34) was dismissed, Read (52) the next to be

                dismissed with the total at 153. After the loss of two quick wickets it was left to Marty

                O'Brien and Craig Garard to steer Man.-Fox. to the total of 176 for the loss of seven

                wickets to win the game.

     A win to Manawatu-Foxton by 3 wickets.
