Winning the toss Steve Mattock asked Levin Old Boys Rebels to bat first on a hard Manawatu

            College grass pitch. Man-Fox. used eight bowlers to dismiss the Rebels side in 44 overs,

            the pick of the bowlers being Steve Mattock with 5 for 34 off 7 overs. Perry Thomas   

            claimed 3-34 off 8, Steve Thomas 1-23 of 6 and Barry Peta 1-25 off 3 overs to complete 

            the wicket-takers. Extras were 43 including 34 wides.

Manawatu-Foxton lost their first wicket of Perry Thomas for 12 with the score at 37. Next to be

            dismissed was Steve Thomas for 20 with the score at 67. Karl Read joined Steve Mattock

            at the wicket and combined in a 116 run partnership before Read was bowled for 47 with

            the score at 183. Tyler Graham departed for a duck with the score of 192, but had a 9 run

            partnership with Mattock. Barry Peta was not out on 0 and Mattock not out 80 when the

            target was reached.

A win to Manawatu-Foxton by 6 wickets.
