                Kapiti Old Boys won the toss and batted first against Manawatu-Foxton at Manawatu College No. 3 artificial pitch and after their 45 overs were 207 for the loss of 6 wickets. Wayne Blackbourn claimed 2-43 off his 9 overs, Evan Smith 1-35 off 7 and Liam Forward 1-12 off 2 overs, the other wickets to fall were run outs. Perry Thomas picked up two catches in the field and Jono Van Echten one.

                Manawatu-Foxton batted in the rain to be all out after 38.1 overs for 192 runs. Stacey Thomas 10, Haydon Bramwell 16, Steven Thomas 42, Tony Tatana 15, Jason Gwynn 25 all got starts but could not carry on to a big innings and it was left up to No. 9 Perry Thomas (31) and No. 11 Liam Forward (15 not out) to get Manawatu-Foxton close to the KOB total by adding 59 runs for the last wicket. 

                A loss to Manawatu-Foxton by 15 runs.
