                Levin Old Boys won the toss and batted first against Manawatu-Foxton at Waiopehu College No. 1 artificial pitch and after their allotted 45 overs were 213 for 7 wickets. Wayne Blackbourn picking up another 5 wicket bag with 5-37 off his 9 overs. Jono Van Echten and Tony Tatana were the other wicket-takers with one each.

                 Manawatu-Foxton's openers continued with their good form and advanced the score to 140 off 21 overs before Haydon Bramwell was caught for 77, including 10 fours. Stacey Thomas (72, 1 x 6 and 5 x 4) continued accumulating runs and was fifth out with the team score at 194 off 32 overs. Tony Tatana (18) and Tom Thomas (6) departed cheaply and it was left to Perry Thomas and Wayne Blackbourn to take Man/Fox. through to 218 for victory. 218 for 7 off 36.5 overs.
