Tom Thomas decided to bat first against Kapiti Old Boys Gold at Manawatu College No. 1 grass pitch and the Man.-Fox. top order batsmen put together some excellent partnerships to bat through to the 45 over declaration for the score of 275 for the loss of 3 wickets. The top score for the season went to Jason Gwynn batting at No. 3 for Man.-Fox. who hit 18 fours in his 123 runs, Stacey Thomas scored 61, Haydon Bramwell 28, Tom Thomas 32 not out and Tony Williams 4 not out to complete the batting card. An interesting note for Jason Gwynn is that he equalled his previous highest score, 123 not out against Levin Wanderers on 9th February, 2002.

Kapiti Old Boys were 1-63 after 12 overs and then lost wickets quickly to be all out for 106 after 25.1 overs. Some excellent bowling by the Man.-Fox. bowlers saw Liam Forward take the figures of 5-7 off 3.1 overs, the ever reliable Evan Smith 3-3 off 5 overs with 4 maidens, Hayden Bramwell 1-35 off 9 and Jarrod Gilmore 1-21 off 2 overs completed the wicket-takers.

A win to Manawatu-Foxton by 169 runs.
