Steve Mattock won the toss for Manawatu-Foxton against Kapiti Old Boys at Manawatu College No. 1 Grass pitch and elected to field first.  KOB batted their 45 overs to finish at 186 for the loss of 7 wickets.  Wickets were shared with Tyler Graham claiming 3-54 off 9 overs, Steve Mattock 2-30 off 9, Tim Sayer 1-15 off 9 and Steven Thomas 1-31 off 7 overs.

              Needing 4.15 runs per over to win the game the only Man-Fox. batsmen to produce runs were Steve Thomas 44, Steve Mattock 23, Marty O'Brien 11 not out and extras 36. Five batsmen failed to score, three others scored 1, 4 and 6, which does not help the batting.

              A loss to Manawatu-Foxton by 61 runs.
