Presidents.

Waikanae decided to bat first at the Manawatu College No. 1 grass pitch and with a lot of help from the Manawatu-Foxton bowlers and fieldsmen (38 wides, 6 dropped catches) managed to bat through to be all out after 44.3 overs for 185. Wayne Blackbourn claimed 4-25 off his 9 overs, Jason Gwynn 3-47 off 9, Perry Thomas 2-14 off 2.3 overs and  Tom Thomas 1-26 off 8 overs, were the successful bowlers.

Manawatu-Foxton lost Hayden Bramwell LBW with the score at 22, then lost wickets regularly to be dismissed for 83 runs off 29.4 overs. Stacey Thomas 22, Perry Thomas 13 not out and wides 19 were the only scores in double figures.

A loss to Manawatu-Foxton by 102 runs.
