Presidents manage to play 1st game of season between the rain showers.

After a heavy shower at start time Pram. won the toss and elected to bat on the damp artificial pitch at Manawatu College. Pram. batted through their 45 overs to score 185 - 9 wickets. The wickets were shared amonst the Man-Fox. bowlers with Robert Blackbourn taking 2-34, Wayne Blackbourn 1-23, Evan Smith 1-36, Scott Rowe 1-37, Captain Tom Thomas 2-15 and Justin Greig 2-19.

Batting in the drizzling rain the Man-Fox. batsmen lasted 34 overs before being all out for 112 runs. The only batsmen to score were Stacey Thomas with 46 and No. 8 batsman Robert Blackbourn with 30. Of the other batsmen there were 5 ducks, two scoring 3 runs and No. 11 Evan Smith 1 not out.

A Loss to Manawatu-Foxton by 73 runs.

I Hope the playing equipment dries out enough to be used for next week and the match ball will not even be used as a practice ball.
