Manawatu-Foxton batted first against Weraroa and lost wickets at regular intervals with the exception of Stacey Thomas who batted through to be the 7th wicket to fall for a personal score of 45. Steven Thomas (29), Jordan Thomas, playing his first game for the season (20) and Marty O,Brien (14) the only other batsmen to feature in the scoring. Manawatu-Foxton all out on the last ball of the 45th over for 153 runs.
