Presidents: Manawatu-Foxton fielded first at Manawatu College No. 3 against K.O.B. Pressies and some wayward bowling saw K.O.B. post 7-242 after their 45 overs. Tony Tatana 3-34, Wayne Blackbourn 2-58 and Tom Thomas 2-38 were the successful bowlers for Man-Fox. A number of Manawatu-Foxton's batsmen managed to get to double figures but it was Steven Thomas who held the innings together with a hard hit 80 including 1 x 6 and 10 x 4. Craig Vertongen hit 2 x 6 and 3 x 4 for his 32 runs and Jordan Thomas scored 20. A last wicket partnership between Perry Thomas and Jesse Thomas produced 21 runs, with them both being not out at the completion of the 45 overs, to have Manawatu-Foxton 9-210 at the close, still 33 runs short of victory. Thanks to Perry and Jesse for stepping in after two players who had made themselves available to play on Friday then did not turn up for the game.
