                Round 9 of the 1-Day competition saw Weraroa win the toss and elect to bat against Manawatu-Foxton at Manawatu College No. 1 grass  pitch. Weraroa lost their first wicket at 61 after 15 overs, their 5th wicket at 126 after 35 overs and then the last 5 wickets with the total at 143, the innings lasting 40.1 overs. Mike Smith claimed 4-30 off his 10 overs, David Schlup and Marty O'Brien picked up 2 wickets each and Craig McGhie snared one with Mike Smith also getting a run out.

                Manawatu-Foxton cruised to the victory in 26.1 overs for the loss of 4 wickets. Nathan Paki scoring 50 with 1 x 6 and 7 x 4, David Schlup with 22 not out and Craig McGhie 11 were other batsmen getting into double figures. The Weraroa bowlers bowled an amazing 49 wides to help the Man/Fox. batsmen get to their target of 147 for 4 wickets.

                A win to Manawatu-Foxton by 6 wickets.
