           Batting first after losing the toss at Manawatu College No. 1 pitch Manawatu-Foxton struggled to make any headway and after 38.2 overs were all out for 113. Mike Smith the only highlight with avery well compiled 45. Craig McGhie the only other batsman to reach double figures (13).

           Having Weraroa in big trouble at 2-9 after 13 overs the Manawatu-Foxton fieldsmen let Weraroa off by dropping numerous catches that had they been taken could have had a big influence on the game. Weraroa passing the Man-Fox. total in the 35th over for the loss of 4 wickets. Scott Rogers, Tim Sayer and Josh Parsons all claiming a wicket, with the other a run out.

           A loss to Manawatu-Foxton by 6 wickets.
