Senior A: Manawatu-Foxton won the toss against Weraroa at Donnelley Park No. 3 and elected to bat on a damp artificial pitch. Play started at 1.30 p.m. after the game was delayed by the wet outfield and the game being transferred from the grass pitch to the artificial.

Losing Jason Houldsworth (6), Josh Parsons (8) and Tony Waugh (8),  Kane Duffy  (67) and Mike Smith (34) produced a good partnership to boost the Man-Fox. total. Ricky Tetomo (17) and Steve Mattock (10) were the only other batsmen to add to the scorecard and Manawatu-Foxton were all out after 54 overs for 197 runs. Extras were 2nd top score with 38.

Weraroa were 3-11 after 5 overs and at stumps after  17 overs were 3-120. Steve Mattock taking 2-46 off 7 overs and the other wicket to fall was a run out.
