Playing
at home again on the Manawatu College No. 1 grass pitch Manawatu-Foxton
decided to field first against Paraparaumu. Pram. were always
in trouble against some tight bowling by the Man-Fox. bowlers
and were dismissed after 28.3 overs for 104 runs. Tim Sayer
carrying on his return to bowling form taking 6-35 off 12.3
overs, David Schlup 2-31 and Scott Rogers 2-28 claimed 2 wickets
each to be the only bowlers used.
Manawatu-Foxton
batted through to 33.3 overs to reach 105 for the loss of 7
wickets to win the game and take the maximum points on offer.
Josh Parsons (21), Nathan Paki (12), Ryan Bothma (22), Joe Whareaitu
(17 not out) and Scott Rogers (11) were the Man-Fox. batsmen
to reach double figures but no batsman going on to a large score
after all getting starts.
