Manawatu-Foxton
lost the toss against Weraroa and were asked to bat first at the
Waiopehu College artificial pitch, after rain prevented the preparation
of the grass pitch block at the Weraroa Domain. Man-Fox. lost
wickets at regular intervals and were dismissed after 44.3 overs
for 136 runs. Opening bat Josh Parsons contributed 24 runs but
it was No. 6 batsman David Schlup who held the innings together
with 55 runs, including 1 x 6 and 4 x 4's.
Weraroa
chased the Man-Fox. total down in 26.5 overs for the loss of only
2 wickets. Captain Scott Rogers taking the two wickets to fall,
2-24 off 6 overs.
