The first round of County matches Levin Old Boys won the toss and batted first on the Donnelly Park artificial pitch No. 2, after all games were transferred to artificial pitches as the grass pitches were not ready to play on.

After claiming an early wicket the man-Fox. bowlers toiled had through to the 60 over closure to have Old Boys 269 for 9 wickets. Tim Sayer claiming 4-46 off 13 overs, Nathan Paki playing his first game for the season picking up 2-23 off 7 overs, David Schlup and Josh Parsons claiming 1 wicket each with the other wicket to fall being a run out.

Man-Fox. were 25 for 5 after 10 overs and in big trouble, Steve Thomas (20) and Scott Rogers added 42 for the 6th wicket and when Tim Sayer departed first ball for the 7th wicket it was left to David Schlup (56 not out) and Captain Scott (53 not out) to play out time to enable Man-Fox. to play for a losing draw.

A losing draw to Manawatu-Foxton with 14 points going to Levin Old Boys and 9 points to Manawatu-Foxton.
