             Captain Scott Rogers won the toss for Manawatu-Foxton and decided to bat first at Manawatu College No. 1 Grass pitch against Paraparaumu C.C. Man.-Fox. top five batsmen could not build large enough partnerships to enable the team to compile a large enough total to be competitive. Only Haydon Marshall (40), Josh Parsons (25) and Craig Vertongen (22) were batsmen to reach their twenties. Manawatu-Foxton were all out in the 44th over for 157 runs.

            After capturing an early wicket the Man-Fox bowlers were hit to all parts of the field with Paraparaumu chasing down the modest total for the loss of 5 wickets, 158-5 off 29 overs. David Schlup 2-44 off 6 overs, Tim Sayer 1-32 off 6 and Scott Rogers 2-30 off 7 overs were the only successful bowlers for Manawatu-Foxton.

          A loss to Manawatu-Foxton by 5 wickets.
