Asked to bat first at the Weraroa Domain grass pitch Manawatu-Foxton started with an 82 run first wicket partnership to Josh Parsons (24) and Nathan Paki (56) but then wickets tumbled and Man-Fox. were dismissed in the 28th over for the modest total of 116.

Weraroa were 2 for 6 runs after 5 overs and then the middle order applied themselves to bat through to reach the Man-Fox. total for the loss of 4 wickets, 117-4 off 34.3 overs. David Schlup taking 2-30 off 14 overs, Nathan Paki 1-27 and M O'Brien 1-23 were the successful bowlers for Man-Fox.
