Senior A: Manawatu-Foxton decided to bat first against Kapiti Old Boys at Manawatu College No. 1. Steady batting saw the score after 29 overs to be 4-86 with the top order making hard work of producing runs. Only Josh Parsons (76) and the middle and tail order of Scott Rogers (21), David Schlup (24), Steve Mattock (37) and Tim Sayer (17) saw the Man-Fox total through to 225 all out after 58.3 overs.

Kapiti Old Boys were in trouble at 4-61 after 23 overs but by stumps after 43 overs were 4-136. David Schlup the successful bowler with 3-40 off 14 overs, with a run out being the other wicket to fall.

KOB needing 90 runs off 17 overs for first innings points next week.
