Day one of round 2 of the 2 day competition.
Fielding first against K.O.B. at Donnelly Park No. 1 Artificial
the Manawatu-Foxton bowlers restricted the K.O.B. batsmen to 97
all out off 33.4 overs on a cloudy, windy and cold winters afternoon.
David Schlup getting through 14 overs to take 4-43, Steve Mattock
2-34 off 8 overs, Scott Rogers 3-13 off 4 and Kane Duffy 1-3 off
2.4 overs. Myles Sayer was the only other bowler used with 5 overs
no wickets for 3 runs.
Manawatu-Foxton lost their first wicket at 9, then put together
some good partnerships to bat through to 56.4 overs to post the
score off 213 all out. Karl Read top scored with 66, Josh Parsons
34, Mike Smith 38, Kane Duffy 30 were other batsmen to post reasonable
totals. A lead on the first innings to Manawatu-Foxton of 116
runs.
Batting in the 2nd innings K.O.B. were 1-4 off 8 overs at stumps.
David Schlup being the successful bowler with 1-3 off 4 overs.

Day two
of round 2 of the 2 day competition.
Kapiti Old Boys batting on in their 2nd innings after being 1-4
at stumps on the first day, lost wickets regularly to some accurate
Man-Fox bowling, to be 89 for 9 all out after 39.4 overs. Bowling
for Manawatu-Foxton Tim Sayer claimed 3-32 off 12 overs, Myles
Sayer 2-35 off 5.4 overs, Scott Rogers 2-7 off 7, Steve Mattock
1-4 off 7 and David Schlup 1-8 off 8overs. All bowlers amongst
the wickets.
An outright win to Manawatu-Foxton by an innings and 27 runs.
